Less Than Two Months To Go!

As some of you may know earlier this year I applied for a position at A&W. Josh and Patty Hankins are amazing people and willingly took me on bussing tables so I could raise some money for my trip. After a couple months, Josh offered to move me up to a waitress position. I was nervous at first but everyone was so encouraging and helped me get used to my new duties as a waitress. As a fast food and sit down restaurant, people sometimes tip and I am always grateful for however much I receive each night. However, things really do add up if you leave them be. Just a couple days ago, I opened up both my piggy banks that were full of money from not only tips but also some other donations people had given me. It was a whole family ordeal; Madi was counting the change, Nate and Dad were counting cash, and Mom was typing everything into an excel spreadsheet for me. Well, when we finished counting, we gave a drumroll and mom announced the total of $928! That's amazing!

So for a money update, I'm about 60% of the way to my goal of $10,000!

Throughout this summer, I've also had the wonderful opportunity to help Jill Wilson with her janitorial work at Cascade Timber. She's been not only a great role model to me but also a supportive friend and employer. Along with that side job, my job at A&W, and my continual custodial work at Hillside Fellowship, things have been pretty busy this summer. I have also been house-sitting and of course making bracelets. Which is a great reminder; for all of those who don't know, I've been handmaking custom bracelets and anklets to help raise money for my adventure to Iceland. If you or anyone you know is interested, my Instagram account for selling them is @annasarmbond.

I don't want to make this too lengthy, but I am just so blessed by all the contributions I've already received and I am so happy that God's called me to this journey. I will continue to keep you updated and I thank you all for the prayers and support :)
