Preparing for a trip is a lot of work. You have to think about every little thing. From a passport to a new suitcase, there are things to buy and things to get in order. But just as much as I'm looking forward toward the future, there's still life to live right now. And during this time of waiting and preparation I've been learning a lot. Or in other word's God's been teaching me some stuff.

As some of you may know I've had a lot of loss in the past year and a half. Which isn't exactly easy to deal with. But even with all the bad going on, there's also so much good. God has been right there with me this whole time and I know he'll be with me the rest of the way. One of the biggest things I've been learning (or trying to learn), is how to be ultimately peaceful. I know, I obviously can't do this on my own and I've been asking God for peace for a long time. But the thing is, it doesn't come all at once. God's blessed me little by little to rely on Him especially during the crazy times. And you guys won't believe how crazy life gets sometimes. Although, here I am so at peace even though some parts of my life are falling apart. Now, I know you're not here to listen to my troubles but they're important to my story. And that's what this is, my story.

So not only have I learned to rely on God for peace, but I'm also in the process of learning who I am in Christ, what's my identity and what's my purpose. When I say in the process, I really do mean I'm still working on it. Which I think the next big test in my identity is my trip to Iceland. This trip isn't going to flip my life a complete one-eighty, but I do think it will make some things clearer for me and what God's plan is for me
